The journey began with playing AYSO and with the All-Star teams that came with it. With the hard work, dedication and the help of his amazing mother he got on his first club soccer team when he was 14.
Making the varsity soccer team and starting in his freshman year Devin pushed himself more and more. Setting all records for goalkeeping at Cabrillo High School in Lompoc California. Then at16 years old he joined one of the most elite clubs in the nation, So Cal United, now they are known as Real So Cal.
At 17 he went to Norway to train with 2 premier teams, Strømsgodset, and Vallerenga. Before Graduation he had to make a huge decision, go back to Norway and play professionally, or go to College and play for a Div. 1 college. With long thinking and support he chose to take the move to Norway. During his time there he played with Lillestrøm and Sogndal before retuning to the US, Joining the U-23 National team, shortly after signed with the Puerto Rico Islanders.
During his time off and offseason from playing professionally, he would coach and train Goalkeepers at the soccer academy in Santa Barbara. He was a coach there for 7 years. In 2010 he moved up to the Sacramento area for a new job. Then started training goalkeepers for the woodland soccer club for 3 years. Just last year December of 2013 he moved to Sparks/Reno.
Devin is currently the goalkeeper coach/trainer for Spanish springs soccer club, and goalkeeper coach/trainer for the University of Nevada.
