Having recently been to several games to watch keepers in action, it’s alarming the number of parents who are shouting instruction to their Child that really contradicts what they should be doing during the game.
In our Just4Keepers PA programs, we have keepers who also play Basketball, Football, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball to name but a few.
Often motivation is easier when a goalkeeper has a crisis, when he/she is facing adverse conditions, or they’re chasing an immediate target, eg. being challenged for the starting position, playing time or being substituted due to repetitious careless mistakes.
Why is it that in every new just4keepers class I teach with new goalkeepers that I have never trained before, when I ask the question: “ what is your biggest weakness one of the constant answers is crosses or high balls.
