Goalkeeper Training in Warwickshire

Richard’s love affair with football began at the age of five, when he first laced up his boots and stepped onto the pitch. From that moment on, the game became a constant in his life. Whether he was between the posts or out on the field, Richard played with variety of Saturday and Sunday league sides throughout the years. Today, that same passion sees him turning out for a spirited over-35s Veterans team in Warwickshire.

Coaching has always been a natural extension of Richard’s relationship with the game. Having guided players on and off throughout his adult life, he formalised his experience by completing his UEFA C Licence last year. He has worked across the grassroots spectrum in Warwickshire, coaching both junior and senior teams, as well as offering one-to-one and small group sessions tailored to individual development.

This year marked a turning point in his journey, as he completed the National Goalkeeping Course at St George’s Park. Inspired by the experience, Richard has chosen to channel more of his focus into specialist goalkeeping coaching—sharing his deep understanding of the position—while continuing to lead and support team coaching sessions across the region.
