Aside from one other GK school, who was very small….J4K was the ONLY GK academy set up at the NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia last weekend. The NSCAA stands for the National Soccer Association of America and is the largest gathering for coaches in the US. Held once per year, all walks of the soccer community come together to share idea, take classes, and view the latest and greatest in the soccer market.

This was our second year setting up a booth in the exhibition hall, where several hundred other exhibitors of novelty items, portable goals, shoes, uniforms and everything in between from the world of soccer. Attending for J4K was our founder from across the pond, Ray Newland; PA J4K coaches Simon Robinson and Joe Weiss; J4K Ontario coach Roy Howell; J4K Central NJ coach Niko Alexopoulos; (ME) and J4K sponsored GK and US Men’s National Amputee Team GK Eric Westover. We had a great time swapping ideas, taking in the convention, listening to RAy’s bad jokes (again) and speaking with coaches, players, club officials and parents. Many had heard of us but lots of folks had not and were excited to hear what we do. Response was fantastic not only to our Learn, Earn and Equip displays but to hearing how we can help all youth goalkeepers in their development.

Training with Just 4 Keepers, wherever you are in the US, comes with years of experience and a passion for helping all goalkeepers reach their goals, whatever they may be. Reaction to our new line of gloves, the NEO was tremendous with lots of coaches inquiring about how to get them for their players. I only saw a few VA coaches there, so if you missed us at the convention, just reach out to any one of the J4K team and we’ll be glad to fill you in on all the great things we have happening all over the US. Each J4K academy has weekly classes focusing on all aspects of goalkeeping. We firmly believe that regular and consistent training is imperative for the success of any goalkeeper. Why not get those quality touches in a GK centered environment where we concentrate on forming successful habits of developing goalkeepers? I’m not sure why you wouldn’t???
