Just 4 Keepers of NoVA returned to the summer camp season in partnership with Coerver United last week at Evergreen Sportsplex in Leesburg with 15 keepers working hard and having some fun! Our goalkeeper training program in the mornings were technical focused on all the aspects of goalkeeping ranging from distribution, handling, diving, high ballsy and crosses, and 1v1 situations. Our afternoons were kicked off by integrating with the Coerver field players in shooting exercises where the keepers could put their newly learned skills to the test. Various small sided game competitions round out each day. Our goalkeepers were challenged but had plenty of laughs as well.

Assistant Coaches Abby Ochs (Sr Patriot HS, Christopher Newport University Commit Class of ’22) and Patrick Dye (Sr – Potomac Falls HS, Undecided) showed the kids proper form and technique and occasionally made a brilliant save!

Goalkeeper training shouldn’t just be a summer hit. J4K of NoVA training is available year round to help players build and develop which in turn helps their teams and club be successful. Contact us to see how we can help!
